PRESIDENT AND OWNER

Laurie Pederson is the President and Owner of LocalGov Staffing Solutions, leading the company with a commitment to excellence in public sector staffing and recruitment. With nearly two decades of experience, she specializes in connecting local governments with top talent, ensuring efficient hiring solutions tailored to their unique needs. Laurie’s leadership is driven by a passion for public service, a deep understanding of workforce challenges, and a dedication to building strong client relationships. Under her direction, LocalGov Staffing Solutions provides reliable, high-quality recruitment and staffing services that support the success of communities nationwide.

Joseph A. De Lopez

PRINCIPAL PUBLIC SAFETY RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT

Joseph A. De Lopez serves as Principal Public Safety Recruitment Consultant for LocalGov Staffing Solutions. He is an experienced public safety executive, consultant, and recruitment advisor with more than 41 years of progressively responsible experience across the full spectrum of police management and public safety recruitment.

During his consulting career, Mr. De Lopez has conducted 59 public safety executive recruitments, primarily for Chief of Police, Deputy Chief of Police, and Public Safety Director-level positions. He was formerly a Vice President with GovHR USA and currently also serves as Director of Law Enforcement and Government Consulting at McCarthy Byrnes Security Solutions.

James J. Dinneen

PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT, FLORIDA

Jim Dinneen has served Florida as an executive recruiter since 2019, helping local governments recruit over 30 senior executives and department leaders for more than 15 communities. He brings more than 43 years of public-sector service, including 23 years as a city or county manager. As Principal Consultant for LGSS, Jim leads Florida recruitment efforts with an emphasis on understanding community priorities, organizational culture, and candidate leadership capabilities.

Why LocalGov Staffing Solutions?

Simply put, I have a passion for staffing, local government, and a deep commitment to helping people.

After years of working closely with local government clients nationwide, I've noticed a recurring challenge: staffing gaps that traditional hiring methods just can't solve. Some agencies need help with advertising but don't know where to start, while others want pre-screened, qualified candidates without the burden of outreach. Many HR departments are understaffed, or nonexistent, making it even harder to fill critical roles efficiently. Meanwhile, the overwhelming number of recruitment technologies and AI solutions has left clients struggling to find the right tools within their time and budget constraints.

That's why I founded LGSS, to offer a smarter, more efficient way to connect with top talent.
